The Mitchigan River is a 〔U.S. Geological Survey. National Hydrography Dataset high-resolution flowline data. (The National Map ), accessed December 19, 2011〕 stream in the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. It flows into the Fence River at in northeast Iron County in Mansfield Township. The Fence River is a tributary of the Michigamme River, which is itself a tributary the Menominee River, flowing to Lake Michigan. The Mitchigan River has its source in the southeast corner of Baraga County at .〔 It flows mostly southward along the boundary between Iron and Marquette counties, crossing briefly into western Marquette County.
